This is wild as well as ornamental, I have seen it along railtracks, paddyfield, village thickets, and in home yard. Unlike the leaves in this set of pictures leaves are usually linear or narrowly lanceolate in wild smaller plant.
Flowers are same in wild and cultivated form. Attached here a few more pictures, one taken today 4. My observation is leaves are twice to thrice times in young trees, in saplings bigger than that, as the trees grow old leaves become smaller. Attached here photographs of two leaves, one from basal region and the other from the upper part of the plant. The width shown in the pics are the widest part of the leaves. Attachments 5 Thank you so much for your efforts. These leaves are up to 3 inches wide while the ones that I had seen here in Mumbai did not go beyond 1 inch in width.
