I did my first trip with these charts last week from Prestwick. On the whole, I think the improvements are cancelled out by suplpement new design flaws, leaving you wondering why they bothered What sort of an idiot thinks this stuff up? They lnformation less haphazard than the old one, with the SSA in one place rather than in the corners or in a rose.
But why were the chart users not consulted over this change? This always caused overseas customers considerable difficulty. Corruption galore, as there must be money involved to get THIS stupid. May I come in? Our main objective has been to create a product that is clear and precise, making information easier to find. Why the hell do Nav Aids look like waypoints?
We, over 50s need nice big numbering, lettering. In theory, the engine fail procedures on the plates should be specific to the company using them. In a hurry I will probably die. Not sure if it is fkight a result of this. So, anybody requested and received the CAT A charts yet?

If not, I would not be supppement impressed. The layout and details are often just crap, poorly thought out and a safety hazard. THAT is the biggest clue that these changes were done by someone who has never operated an aeroplane. I see this has devolved into another Jepps vs Aerad thread, which is unhelpful. Terrain contours with spot heights is an option and is much easier to produce by the way because it is supplied in the AIP.
I certainly agree they are shocking. Why are the SIDs in reverse alphabetical sort of order! Its called change to us oldies. In all truth my Ops Support department helped me out and supplied me with the correct docs. Another issue is renaming the pages.
